About the role:

What if your next role helped people feel healthier, every single day?

As a Pharmacy Services Assistant, you'll play an important part in delivering safe, reliable and compassionate pharmacy services to the communities we serve. Working alongside Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians, you'll help prepare and dispense medications, provide excellent customer service and ensure every patient receives the support they need with professionalism and care.

No two days are the same. One day you could be preparing prescriptions, helping customers choose the right healthcare products or carrying out basic health checks. The next, you might be managing stock, supporting the smooth running of the pharmacy or working with colleagues to make sure patients receive their medication safely and efficiently.

You'll be a reassuring presence for our customers, combining excellent service with attention to detail. Whether you're offering advice under the guidance of a Pharmacist, supporting patient care behind the scenes or maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and accuracy, you'll play a vital role in helping our pharmacy team deliver outstanding care every day.

 Here's how you'll make a difference
  • Preparing and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of a Pharmacist, ensuring patients receive safe and accurate care.
  • Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service, offering advice on healthcare products and signposting customers to the appropriate pharmacy services when needed.
  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy by ordering, receiving and maintaining pharmaceutical stock while keeping accurate records.
  • Carrying out basic health checks and supporting pharmacy services, helping improve the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve.
  • Continuing to develop your knowledge through ongoing training, maintaining high professional standards and ensuring patient confidentiality is always protected.

If you're passionate about helping people, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and want to make a genuine difference through outstanding pharmacy care, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

About You

Someone who's passionate about helping people feel their best

This is a role where care, accuracy and a genuine passion for supporting others go hand in hand.

You'll enjoy building relationships with customers, making them feel welcome and providing reassurance when they need it most. Whether you're preparing prescriptions, offering advice on healthcare products or supporting the smooth running of the pharmacy, you'll take pride in delivering an exceptional service while helping improve the health and wellbeing of your local community.

Previous experience working in a pharmacy environment will help you succeed, but just as importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys learning, works well as part of a team and genuinely cares about making a difference to people's lives.

We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:

  • A caring, friendly and approachable nature, with a genuine passion for delivering excellent customer care.
  • Strong communication skills, with the confidence to support customers and work collaboratively with colleagues and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy when preparing prescriptions and completing pharmacy tasks.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload in a busy pharmacy environment.
  • A proactive attitude, taking ownership of your responsibilities while always looking for ways to improve the service you provide.
  • A willingness to continue learning, developing your pharmacy knowledge and keeping up to date with professional standards and best practice.

To be considered for this role, it is essential that you already hold a Level 2 qualification in Pharmacy Assistant and/or Dispensing.

We're looking for someone who enjoys making a genuine difference every day. You'll take pride in providing safe, professional and compassionate pharmacy services while helping create a welcoming environment where every customer feels valued, listened to and supported.

Benefits that help you grow

Alongside the opportunity to support the health and wellbeing of your local community, you'll receive a benefits package that's just as rewarding:

  • 30 days' annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays.
  • A pension scheme with up to 12% employer contributions.
  • Generous colleague discounts across our family of businesses.
  • An annual discretionary colleague bonus in recognition of your contribution.

We're also proud to be an Investors in People Platinum employer, recognising our commitment to helping colleagues learn, develop and build rewarding careers. Whether you're looking to build on your existing pharmacy experience or continue developing your clinical knowledge, we'll support you with ongoing training and opportunities to grow your career within Lincolnshire Co-op.

Ready to help your community stay healthy?

If you're excited by the opportunity to provide outstanding pharmacy services, support your local community and make a positive difference to people's lives every day, we'd love to hear from you.
