2002
I finished school with various GCSE’s including Double Science AA. I felt very overwhelmed and had no idea what I wanted to do as a career.

2006-2015
Worked in a few customer service assistant roles whilst I tried to figure out exactly what I wanted to do. Had a taster of working in pharmacy covering a counter and loved it!

2015
Saw a job advertised for a Trainee pharmacy services assistant at Lincolnshire Co-op. I was nervous as it was my first interview in a long time, but I felt at ease and welcomed. I got the job!

2015–2017
I starting learning all about pharmacy whilst completing my Healthy living training and my Level 2 pharmacy services assistant. I got involved in a few of the services we offer at our healthy living pharmacy, such as diabetes and blood pressure checks, to name a few.

2017
I finished my training and got promoted to Dispensing Assistant. I started working a few days a week supporting local hospitals at Skegness and Spalding. I really enjoyed working with in the community with nurses but felt I needed to learn more.

2020
With support from my managers and my team I qualified with my BTEC Level 3 Pharmaceutical Science qualification and Advanced Level Apprenticeship. I registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and got promoted to Dispensing Technician.

2020
I supported the pandemic with my colleagues by working in our vaccination centre in Boston, training to draw and dilute vaccinations.

2021
I completed 6 months of training to become an accuracy checking technician and got promoted to Pharmacy Team Leader. My role is challenging and hardwork but we all work together as a team to get the job done. I have never known a company so supportive with training and progression and I am proud of how far I have come.
