Gadsbys has been kneading, mixing and baking for over 50 years! From bread rolls to Bakewell tarts, all our delicious products are made with passion and pride. Our hardworking team work closely together to ensure that our quality products taste amazing, are made with skill and delivered fresh for our regular customers.
 
As a Gadsbys Hygiene Assistant you’ll be joining a team at the heart of the bakery, working closely together across the site to ensure all hygiene standards are maintained to a high standard. You will be responsible for:
 
Ensuring the completion of hygiene schedules 
Comply with all health and safety requirements across the society as well as adhering to policies and procedures 
Undertake any lawful and reasonable duties as reasonably requested by the society
Ensuring production lines are clean and disinfected to a high standard 
Responsible for waste collection and disposal 
 

About You

A Level 2 Food Safety qualification or equivalent is desirable as well as experience of working within a food production environment. However, it’s your personality, skills, motivation, and values that matter the most to us. You’ll need to demonstrate:

A passion to work within a food production environment.
An understanding and appreciation for hygiene standards.
The ability to work in an organised manner, keen to meet deadlines and achieve targets.
The ability to work effectively and efficiently as part of a diverse team, communicating well with others.
Building relationships with colleagues to add to the friendly team spirit, celebrating success and encouraging development.

Our Hygiene Assistants at Gadsby's are hardworking and efficient, so it’s important to note that this role works in a fast-paced environment which can be demanding at times.
