  • About the role:

  • Grow our reach. Build lasting partnerships. Put Gadsby’s on more tables.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the next chapter of Gadsby’s Bakery, taking our much-loved range of bread, cakes and confectionery to new customers and markets.

As our Gadsby’s Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying and winning new business, developing strong commercial relationships and turning opportunities into sustainable, profitable partnerships.

You’ll have the freedom to get out into the market, meet customers, showcase our products and tell the Gadsby’s story – supported by a company vehicle and a commission-related monthly bonus that rewards your success.

Gadsby’s has been baking in Southwell for generations, combining traditional values and craft with the capability to supply today’s retail, wholesale and foodservice markets.

We’re now looking for someone who can help us take that offer even further.

You’ll take ownership of the new-business journey, from researching prospects and making that first introduction through to tastings, proposals, negotiation, onboarding and growing the relationship once they’re on board.

Whether you’re speaking with an independent retailer, wholesaler, hospitality operator, garden centre or major foodservice customer, you’ll understand what matters to them and find commercially sound ways for Gadsby’s to meet their needs.

    What will you be doing?

    • Identify, research and approach potential new customers across agreed markets and territories.
    • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of new-business opportunities, taking prospects from first contact through to conversion.
    • Bring the Gadsby’s story and product range to life through customer meetings, bakery visits, tastings, samples, proposals and trade events.
    • Build strong relationships with buyers, business owners, operators and other key decision-makers.
    • Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders, negotiating commercially sustainable terms.
    • Deliver agreed sales, volume, margin and new-account targets.
    • Make informed pricing and commercial decisions that support profitable, sustainable growth.
    • Work closely with colleagues across Bakery Operations, Commercial, Technical, New Product Development, Marketing and Finance.
    • Coordinate the onboarding of new customers, making sure expectations around products, ordering, delivery and service are clear from the outset.
    • Develop newly secured accounts, spotting opportunities to introduce new products, increase distribution and grow sales.
    • Keep an eye on market trends, competitor activity and customer performance, turning insight into action.
    • Maintain accurate forecasts, pipeline information and commercial reporting.
